Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, an American stage and screen actress and producer. She is most famous as a film actress for her roles in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She received a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch school of the arts, New York University she obtained an MFA. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in theater, film and TV. She started acting on stage and then appeared in independent, mainstream and television series. Her most famous role was Miranda Shaw in ABC's Quantico as well as on BET's epic drama The Book of Negroes. Both of the roles she was praised by critics and received various awards and nominations, among them the Television Critics Choice Award for Best Actress. She made her professional debut with the character Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. She's appeared on Broadway with roles in Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. When it comes to film, she is renowned for her performances in films like Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express and The Help. Also, she is well-known for her role on ABC's crime show High Incident.
