Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd began her journey to combat sports at age of 14. After a kickboxing training session, wrestling BJJ and BJJ, she began her professional debut with Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she turned 18. Ladd gained confidence after the win and fought 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents were all defeated by the start of the round. She then went back to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen had already defeated Silvia Baeghian and Maddy Simmons, before taking against Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen and swept her away in unanimity to create an ominous mark on her amateur record. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen was first introduced to the sport in 2015, signing to Invicta FC for her professional debut. She fought Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her to secure a first-round TKO. Invicta Fighter Championships 16. She won the following match in the fight against Amanda Cooper through a second-round submission via armbar. Aspen's impressive wrestling skills defeated McGill, and she managed to finish her in the third round via TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, weighing the catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd had missed weight. In spite of this, Aspen was able to beat Hoy. Aspen won her fight via TKO in the second-round. The Invicta Fight Night 21 was her last fight with the company. The winner was Sijara Ebanks in a unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She dominated Lina through ground-and-pound and won the TKO round in the second. She continued to dominate and scored a more impressive win during her next fight against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229 Ladd was victorious in round one and was awarded the Performance of the Night bonus. Her first major fight came with her next bout in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. The two fighters had an intense fight which Ladd was victorious by a majority decision. The two fighters each received an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie stopped Ladd in 16-seconds to break her winning streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya during the third round at UFC on ESPN 7. For a replacement last minute for her UFC bout, she fought Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight was unanimously decided against her.
