Sharon Yvonne Stone (born March 10 1959) was born in Meadville Pennsylvania to Dorothy Lawson an accountant and Joseph William Stone Jr. who was a tool and die manufacturer who had previously been employed as a worker in a manufacturing company. Michael, Kelly, Patrick and Dorothy Lawson are her three siblings. Stone was thought to be gifted academically as a child and began the second grade when she was five. In 1975 Stone graduated from Saegertown high school in Saegertown (Pennsylvania). Also, Stone competed winning in the Miss Pennsylvania beauty contest. Stone moved to New Jersey in 1977 with her aunt to pursue a career as an actress. Within a month, she was signed with Ford Modeling Agency. Stone soon moved to Europe, spending a year with her aunt in Milan in Italy and Paris. Stone however became disillusioned in Europe by the fashion business and decided to move into acting. Woody Allen starred in "Stardust Memories", which was a film with mixed reviews, at age twenty.
